I grew up in the South of England, but have studied and worked in several countries, including the U.S.A., Australia and Nicaragua. I received my B.A. in English with First Class Honours from the University of Bristol, U.K., in 2018.

I first started teaching during my undergraduate studies, working as an online tutor for students aged 15-18 in English, History and Political Science for two years. After I finished my degree, I began to work towards gaining further professional English teaching qualifications. I was awarded my CELTA TEFL certificate by Language Studies International, a U.K-based language school, in March 2019.

During my supervised teaching, I designed lessons, tasks, exams and taught students from over 20 different countries. I specialise in speaking and pronunciation, and I am tremendously excited to teach at Ningbo University’s College of Science and Technology, and look forward to contributing my knowledge to a dynamic and motivated group of students – not to mention my own selfish motives to improve my own understanding of this fascinating country! I feel extremely fortunate to experience life in China on this next part of my teaching career, and I look forward to sharing as much of my love for the English language as possible during my time teaching here.
